How to reach us

Metro Line 1 – Museo Stop Distance: 650m, travel time: 10 minutes

Metro Line 2 – Piazza Cavour Stop Distance: 950m, travel time: 15 minutes

Metro Line 2 – Montesanto Distance: 1.2km, travel time: 18 minutes

Parking is not available inside the building, so groups visiting by coach are advised to park in the area in front of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples.

The ticket includes a visit to the entire monumental complex.

Admission is free on the first Sunday of every month. Additional free admission days will be announced in the dedicated section.

Guided Tours

Guided tours are held every Sunday with scheduled departure times (10:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.). Each group has a maximum capacity of 25 participants, so reservations are not required but recommended.

Accessibility

The Museum is accessible to people with disabilities.

Stairlifts and handrails are available within the building. There are also two fully accessible bathrooms on the ground and first floors.

Reservations are recommended for assistance from the on-site staff, who will provide all the necessary support for your visit. Please email museo@sangiuseppedeinudi.org

Activities

Workshops at the museum

The museum’s workshops are designed to bring the public closer to the works through observation, storytelling, and creative expression.

Starting from the museum’s collection, the workshops invite visitors to look at the images with attention and curiosity, stimulating imagination and participation.

Customized activities for small groups or schools can be arranged.

Me, the Other, and the Mirror – Workshop for Children

The workshop includes a brief visit to the portraits of the Confraternity of St. Joseph, followed by a portrait activity. By observing the faces and details of the works, children reflect on identity and self-image, creating a personal portrait inspired by the museum’s works.

  • Cost: €3 per participant
