Stupeficium

The relic of Saint Joseph’s staff

It comes from far away: it travelled between Palestine and Egypt, crossed Europe, and reached the home of a celebrated castrato.
Some relics are not to be mocked — they are to be seen up close.

The portraits

Portraits of popes, royals, cardinals and benefactors honoured for their major donations

The portrait collection of the Archconfraternity of San Giuseppe dei Nudi, assembled between the mid-eighteenth and early twentieth century, currently comprises 52 works: 26 benefactors, 5 Bourbon rulers, 7 popes, 8 archbishops, and 6 cardinals and prelates.
